After milling the idea around for about four years, Playstation/PSP and Rockstar Games have finally teamed with Timbaland to officially release Beaterator, a video game that looks more like the next in-home studio than just a game. It will drop September 29 in the US and Canada, then October 2 in Europe. Countdown to the next producer making a hit song from this invention in 3… 2… 1.
Here is the mini-description from Rockstar Games:
Featuring thousands of loops and sounds made by both Timbaland and Rockstar, Beaterator puts the power to make professional-level music at your fingertips in a format that’s portable, accessible and fun ”“ anyone can now create great-sounding music.
Do you think this game could revolutionize beat making for amateurs? Or do you think the pros will use it to find new sounds? Tell us your thoughts!
