In Big Fan, actor/writer/comedian Patton Oswalt takes on the lead role of Paul Aufiero, an ordinary type loser who still lives with his mom, works a dead end  job, and has no kind of social network. What he does have, however, is a passionate love for the New York Giants.
So much love, that when he has an unfortunate altercation with his favorite team player at a bar (read: he gets his ass kicked), the poor guy is pressured to make a difficult choice. Should he press charges against the football star, while potentially damaging the Giants’ chance for a championship?
Michael Rapaport and Kevin Corrigan (Superbad, Pineapple Express) co-star, while AFL Football player Jonathan Hamm makes his acting debut as the amped up super-pro Quantrell Bishop. Writer Robert D. Siegel, who also wrote the award-winning film The Wrestler, brings comedic actors into a dark place with this movie, and early reviews indicate that it’s well worth watching.
So, think about it… how far would you go to keep your favorite team in the championships?
