Singer-songwriter Bruno Mars has filed a lawsuit against his music publisher Bug Music, Inc. for refusing to let him out of his contract! Bruno claims that he has met the terms of their agreement after turning in the agreed upon number of songs in his contract by February. Turns out Bug Music believes Mars is wrong, insisting that he is still under contract to give them 50% of the copyrights to any song Bruno makes!
We see a lot of similar situations in professional sports with athletes being upset with their team or contract and opting to sit out until the dispute is resolved. Hopefully this bump in the road isn’t the end of Bruno Mars‘ singing career for long, however, we will keep you posted as the lawsuit unfolds!
