Steve Carell has played all kinds of silly characters in his career, but it looks like his portrayal of Barry in Dinner for Schmucks just might take the cake! The story revolves around a dinner put on by the company of aspiring executive Tim, played by Paul Rudd, where the employees each have to bring an idiot to the table for everyone to make fun of. Barry ends up being Tim’s ‘guest’ at the dinner, and it seems to be chaos from there.
Co-stars in Dinner for Schmucks include  Jemaine Clement (The Flight of the Conchords, Gentleman Broncos), Zach Galifianakis (The Hangover, Up in the Air), Bruce Greenwood (National Treasure: Book of Secrets, Capote) and Ron Livingston (The Time Traveler’s Wife, Pretty Persuasion, Sex and the City).  The movie is directed by Jay Roach, the man behind films like Borat, Bruno, 50 First Dates, Meet the Fockers and more. Roach also directed Meet the Fockers and all four of the Austin Powers movies!
