Lakeshore and MGM Fame remake hits theaters on September 25, and  the question is in the air… will this work? Not only are they giving us a new storyline, characters and music, they have also opted to run with a plethora of fresh-faced actors.
There are a few familiar faces in the bunch, like Naturi Naughton (Notorious, singing group 3LW), Kherington Payne (So You Think You Can Dance Season 4), Anna Maria Perez de Tagle (Hannah Montana),  Kelsey Grammer (Frasier), Charles S. Dutton, Bebe Neuwirth (Frasier) and Megan Mullally (Will & Grace).
Actress/director/choreographer Debbie Allen, who starred as Lydia Grant in both the original 1980 Fame movie and the television series (1982-1987), returns as Principal Simms in the 2009 revamp.
This new cast definitely has some big shoes to fill! Do you anticipate this movie having the same electricity that Irene Cara as Coco and Gene Anthony Ray (R.I.P.) as Leroy brought us?
