Ludacris is beginning to make a serious name for himself in Hollywood, and he’ll be back again on September 4 with the Lionsgate action thriller Gamer. True to its name, Gamer is a futuristic look at how death row inmates are forced to be characters controlled by other people in a real life video game called Slayers.
The movie stars Gerard Butler (300, RocknRolla), Alison Lohman (Drag Me To Hell, Beowulf), Milo Ventimiglia (Heroes) and John Leguizamo. The villainous character Ken Castle is played by Emmy Award-winner Michael C. Hall, best known for his quietly intense work on HBO’s Six Feet Under and Dexter.
Written and directed by the team of Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor – the same guys who gave us the Crank movies – you can be certain that the stunts and special effects in Gamer are going to be on point! And of course you can anticipate the accompanying video game!
