When DJ Whoo Kid interviewed Australian actress Rose Byrne of the hit TV series Damages last year, she mentioned Get Him to the Greek, the new film she was working on with Diddy, and now the trailer is here!
The movie stars Russell Brand as the rowdy rock star Aldous Snow, who is too busy partying to pay attention to his music, and Diddy as Sergio Roma, a music mogul (go figure) trying to get the rocker back to L.A. for a show.
Jonah Hill (Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Funny People) plays an eager assistant assigned by Sergio to get Aldous Snow on track, but of course nothing is going to be that easy. Rose Byrne also co-stars, along with Aziz Ansari (Parks and Recreation), Elisabeth Moss (Mad Men), Kali Hawk (Couples Retreat) and Colm Meaney (Law Abiding Citizen).
We’ll also see cameos from Katy Perry, Pink, Christina Aguilera, Metallica’s Lars Ulrich, Harry Potter star Tom Felton, and Meredith Vieira of Who Wants To Be a Millionaire – all playing themselves.
Get Him to the Greek is directed by Nicholas Stoller (Forgetting Sarah Marshall), who also co-wrote the script with actor/writer Jason Segel (How I Met Your Mother, Knocked Up), and produced by Judd Apatow (Pineapple Express, Step Brothers, Superbad). All in all, this looks like it’s going to be a wild ride at the theater when it hits on June 4!
