If you remember the Land of the Lost series on TV, then you’re probably anticipating the big screen version on June 5. While the original 1974 series wasn’t a comedy, it definitely had its laughable moments with campy costumes and crude special effects. The 1991 version was forgettable at best.

The 2009 movie takes us back to the beginning with glossier Sleestaks, scarier dinosaurs and a top-of-the-line waterfall, while Will Ferrell brings far more personality to his portrayal of Rick Marshall. Chaka, however, still has that same scruffy, faux-fur look he had in the TV series. Let’s chalk that up to nostalgia.
