T-Pain has updated theÂ trailer for his Adult Swim cartoon “Freaknik: The Musical” with some behind-the-scenes interviews with Rick Ross, Snoop Dogg and T-Pain’s Nappy Boy signeesÂ Young Cash and Sophia Fresh.

The star-studded, mostly uncensored cartoon will debut on March 7, and will also feature Big Boi, Lil Wayne, Kelis, Andy Samberg, Bill Hader, George Clinton, Bootsy Collins, DJ Pooh, Affion Crockett, Charlie Murphy, Cee-Lo, Lil Jon, DJ Drama, Mac Maine and Kel Mitchell.

Blue Scholars “HI-808″ Video – Seattle Style with Tropical Appeal!

While DJ Whoo Kid was in Peru the last couple of days, I got a little homesick from watching the Nate Robinson interview [click here to watch], and got to reminiscing on the Pacific NW.Â I thought about hi-jacking RadioPlanet.tv and adding a bunch of Seattle-esque content, and miraculouslyÂ found out that Blue Scholars debuted their video for “HI-808” on MTV yesterday! It all began to make sense.

DJ Whoo Kid is now on his way to Hawaii, so it’s only fitting to feature “HI-808” (aka “808 Love”) since Blue Scholars filmed the video out there. Small world huh? These guys have been working for years now (shouts to the homie Geo!) so it’s awesome to see them finally getting real mainstream love!

I’m so glad I found this, because I was bored and was about to break out the classicÂ Sir Mix-A-Lot videos, on some: “Well now, guess what? This is happening…” Â© Jack Black in Anchorman

Side note: if you didn’t know that “Don’t you wish your girlfriend was hot like me” chorus (Pussycat Dolls via Cee-Lo after it was stripped from Tori Alamaze) was originally a hook from Mix-A-Lot’s S.W.A.S.S., now you know!

Cee-Lo, Travis McCoy of Gym Class Heroes, Janelle Monet, Brendon Urie of Panic at the Disco and Patrick Stump of Fall Out Boy have joined forces to create “Open Happiness” for Coca-Cola. Watching this video does actually bring about some happy feelings, and I think everyone could use that right about now. Don’t you think Michael Jackson would have loved to of been a part of this collaboration?
