Last night (Mar. 2) in NYC, VH1 debuted the first episode of their upcoming reality series Love & Hip Hop, which is co-produced by entertainment mogul Mona Scott. You can watch the official trailer above!

The series stars Jim Jones’ girlfriend Chrissy Lamkin, Fabolous’ girlfriend Emily Bustamante, emerging rapper (and ex-girlfriend of Joe Budden)Â Somaya Reece, songstress (and ex-wife of Swizz Beatz) Mashonda Tifrere, and R&B veteran Olivia.

In the midst of the cast’s antics on the show, someone who you can count on to be a scene-stealer is Nancy Jones, Jim Jones’ spirited mother. You’ll see a photo of her below with Mona Scott showing off her new t-shirt that reads: I’m a Psychotic B*tch… Â Awesome.

Each woman’s storyline is a bit different, and of course there will be plenty of drama, drama and more drama on Love & Hip Hop! Mashonda, who has undoubtedly dealt with her own reality drama the past couple of years, talked with RadioPlanet.tv about what we can expect from the show.

RadioPlanet.tv: You’ve been in the public eye as a performer, you’ve had some unfortunate circumstances surrounding your personal life that have been public, and now you’re going to be under a microscope with this show. Are you prepared for it?

Mashonda: I feel that with my personal relationship issues, I’ve been very in the public with it, so I’m kind of used to it. I definitely have a thicker skin than ever I did before, and I know who I am. I don’t really think taht much can really bother me at this point. I also know the way I behaved on camera, so hopefully it’ll come across too. [laughs]

RadioPlanet.tv: So you can’t really blame editing…

Mashonda: No, you can’t. So, we’ll see…

RadioPlanet.tv: What do you think people will see in the relationships?

Mashonda: In general? They’re gonna think that love and Hip Hop is a lot to deal with. They’re gonna probably feel like it’s a combination of somewhat disaster. They’re gonna know for sure that it’s not all glitz and glam, there’s a lot of pain involved. It’s very real. Â We don’t sugar coat it, it’s very real, and you really get to see the situations we have to deal with as women, behind the scenes.

Love & Hip Hop debuts on VH1 on March 14 at 10:30pm EST!!
