In The Collector, a would-be robber breaks into the house of his boss, only to find that there is someone already preying on the family inside! The murderer has set a series of nasty traps in the house, and now the robber is put in the position of saving the family! The trailer above is the “Blood Band” version with some brief nudity and gory scenes, so watch at your own risk!
The writing team of Patrick Melton and Robert Dunstan (Saw IV, V and IV; Feast movies) take the reigns with this horror flick that is said to have a pretty good surprise ending. Â Dunstan also makes his directorial debut, while TV cross-over stars take the lead roles: Josh Stewart (Dirt, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button), Madeline Zima (Californication), Andrea Roth (Rescue Me), Daniella Alonso (Friday Night Lights), Robert Wisdom (The Wire) and Michael Reilly Burke (Lincoln Heights).
They’ve also thrown children into the mix, which is unusual for a slasher film. The tagline is “He always takes one”… but one what?? Should be a good date night if you’re into blood and guts!!
This Collector will be in theaters on July 31.
