Multi-talented actor/comedian John Leguizamo plays dual roles as Dante and Perfecto Mendoza in the new suspense film The Ministers. The story follows a female detective who is seeking out her father’s murderer, only to get involved with one of his killers… and of course it’s one of the twins.
The Ministers hits theaters on October 16, and co-stars Harvey Keitel, Florencia Lozano (One Life to Live soap opera), Wanda DeJesus (Illegal Tender) and Manny Perez (Illegal Tender, El cantante). Even though this movie has gotten virtually no promotion, Leguizamo is one hell of an actor, so I’m putting this on the “must see” list.

Starring John Leguizamo, the film follows the intertwining stories of Det. Santana (Florencia Lozano), a police detective determined to find out who killed her father 13 years ago, and a set of twins (both played by Leguizamo) who, after losing their parents when their apartment building burned down in an act of arson during their childhood, grew up to become a pair of vigilantes — vigilantes who are likely responsible for killing a certain police captain’s father.
The story gets further complicated when Diaz unwittingly begins a romantic relationship with one of the twins (known as the Ministers in their vigilante personas).
