The recent announcement that Facebook has over 500 million users is good timing for The Social Network, a film about the creators of the addictive site. Zombieland actor Jesse Eisenberg and the newly-dubbed Spider Man Andrew Garfield star as Facebook co-founders Mark Zuckerberg and Eduardo Saverin. The two real-life moguls ended their longtime feud last year, and this movie tells the story of how it all began.
The Social Network co-stars Justin Timberlake as Sean Parker, the advising power behind Facebook and co-creator of Napster and Plaxo. On the feminine side, Rashida Jones, Brenda Song (The Suite Life of Zack and Cody), Rooney Mara (A Nightmare on Elm Street 2010), Malese Jow (The Vampire Diaries) and Adina Porter (True Blood) also star.
Incidentally, Andrew Garfield isn’t the only one on superhero status in his next feature, the Spider Man reboot. Caleb Jones, who is simply dubbed “Fraternity Guy” in The Social Network, is starring as Sean Cassidy a.k.a. Banshee in the upcoming X-Men: First Class movie. Additionally, Jesse Eisenberg is set to reprise his role as the accidental hero Columbus in Zombieland 2… can’t wait!
