While fans have been anticipating the release of Rob Zombie’s Halloween II on August 28 (click here to see trailer), the heavy metal director has quietly been preparing the release of his straight-to-dvd animated comedy/horror film The Haunted World of El Superbeasto. Â The red band trailer above is pretty graphic for a cartoon, so I’m sure the full feature will have even more that you won’t want the kiddies to see.
Actors voicing the colorful characters include Rosario Dawson (her character Velvet Von Black pictured below), Paul Giamatti, Danny Trejo and horror flick mainstays Bill Mosely, Sheri Moon Zombie and Sid Haig amongst others. The story follows a washed up Mexican wrestler with a penchant for strippers, who is fighting against evil. But I’m sure that people will be watching for more reasons than the storyline on this one…
